Today was the hottest day of the summer so far. I felt like I was swimming through the air while walking from work to the metro. The only thing I was dreaming about was a glass of cold, refreshing, sparkling water with lemon. People around me were longing the same, I could see it in their eyes. Everyone was like a steamed Maryland crab right out from the pot – red, sweaty, practically comatose.
Inside the train, I noticed a girl sitting in front of me, who was taking snaps of the car. When I looked in the direction of what she was taking a pic of, I noticed another girl. She was holding the ice hockey stick. I assumed she was the reason the first girl was taking the snap. On the hottest day, what a great idea it is to go and play ice hockey, isn’t it? How many possibilities for a witty snap, I imagined.
However, a few moments later when I accidentally gazed back to the girl’s screen, what did I see? A caption going diagonally through the whole screen: “Bald men are the best ❤ ”
Only then I noticed that not one, but two bald men at once did get into that pic of hers, along with the girl with the hockey stick. However, the snapping girl didn’t care about the cool, icy, skating rink that I was imagining when I saw that stick.
I understand. Bald is the new sexy. I, myself, would like me some Jason Statham.
But more hotness on such a hot day? That’s ridiculous. Nobody wants that
